Russell Marine LLC
Russell Marine LLC was founded on January 15, 2010 by Russell Inserra, one of the most well-respected leaders in the marine construction industry. Mr. Inserra’s long history of success began in 1987 with the inception of Triton Marine Construction Corp. Triton saw a great deal of success in the public sector and was listed on the INC500’s list of fastest growing companies in 1993. After the sale of Triton that year, Mr. Inserra established Orion Marine Group in 1994. Orion’s success was rooted in a large footprint that expanded throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Canada, and the Caribbean Basin. Orion was sold in 2008 and is currently publicly traded on the NYSE.
Building on Mr. Inserra’s previous success, Russell Marine immediately saw rapid growth as a marine and heavy civil construction company with 30 employees and a few pieces of equipment. In its second year of operation, Russell Marine added a railroad infrastructure group, further broadening its service lines. By 2015, Russell Marine had grown into a company with over 100 employees and a fleet of equipment that included 24 cranes and 12 barges. Now, with more than 200 employees and an extensive fleet of equipment, Russell Marine has become the preferred contractor in the marine, railroad, piling, and civil construction sectors.
