Enbridge Berth 2A Modifications
The MODA Midstream Berth 2A Modifications Project consisted of procuring and installing six monopiles that will serve as new Mooring & Breasting Dolphins that will allow the client to take on large shipping vessels, as well as a loading arm platform that aligns with the reinstated breasting line. The client requested that the berth modifications substantial completion milestone be reached in a single mobilization over a 45 day duration. Substantial completion was reached in 30 days, 15 days ahead of schedule.
The berth modification consisted of the following scopes of work and construction duration:
– Berth 2A:
o Substantial Completion Duration: 10/18/2021 – 11/17/2021 – 31 Calendar Days
o Installation of Six – 84”Ø x 190’ Mooring & Breasting Dolphins w/ accompanying Jacket
sleeves, concrete cap, quick release hooks. Breasting Dolphins received fender systems.
o Installation of Eight – 24”Ø x 110’ batter piles for walkway installation.
o Installation of Ten – 60”Ø x 120’ plumb piles as the Berth 2A Platform driven pile
o Installation of Berth 2A Platform Weighing in at 510 Tons
